J. Scott Talbot, RLA, CLARB, ASLA
 

J. Scott Talbot, RLA, CLARB, ASLA, received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia School of Environmental Design in 1993. He acquired his professional Landscape Architecture registration with the Georgia State Board of Landscape Architects in 1997 and with the Alabama State Board of Landscape Architects in 2005.

Throughout high school and college, Scott worked for the Gwinnett County Board of Education's Grounds Maintenance Department. He was involved in the maintenance of school grounds and athletic facilities as well as landscape installation at newly constructed schools. The hands-on experience contributed greatly to his success in the site work design of education and recreation facilities, as well as municipal and commercial facilities. 

Mr. Talbot began his career with the firm in 1993 as an Environmental Designer then promoted in 1997 to Project Manager.  His responsibilities included preliminary design, project planning and coordination, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration for various types of projects. 

Mr. Talbot became Chief Financial Officer of Breedlove Land Planning, Inc. in April 1999. His corporate responsibilities in this capacity include coordination of billing review, time entry, account management, budgeting, and procurement. 

In May of 2002, Mr. Talbot became a corporate partner with the firm.  Throughout his career, he has successfully managed a vast number of projects for high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, active and passive recreation parks, and athletic amenities, including both new developments and redevelopment of existing facilities.  He is currently in the fourth year of managing the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Annual Contract for projects with a construction budget under one million dollars, including a skate park project.  He works with and coordinates a select group of architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, surveyors, irrigation consultants and other disciplines to complete these projects.
