Reece R. Parker, RLA, CLARB, ASLA, studied Landscape Architecture at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He graduated with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in May 1993. Reece obtained his Landscape Architecture registration in February 1997 and became a member of The American Society of Landscape Architects in October 1997.
Reece successfully operated a landscape maintenance business while attending college. After graduation, he became an assistant to the Landscape Architect for Jack’s Nursery, a large landscape-contracting firm in Louisiana. His work included ordering materials, managing landscape installation and maintaining irrigation systems on various projects throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. These projects included casinos, shopping centers, the New Orleans International Airport, and large residential jobs.
Reece joined Breedlove Land Planning, Inc. in May 1995 as an Environmental Designer, and has since been promoted to Project Manager. Some of the projects Reece has worked on include county recreation parks, schools, churches, industrial parks, and neighborhood entrances. Many of these projects provide for various recreational activities.
Reece has been involved in the planning and design of a new Veterans Memorial/Pedestrian Park since it’s inception in 1996. The design will be built in Rockdale County, Georgia. This project has recently gained funding and is expected to be a prominent Veterans Memorial in Georgia.
Reece's duties include preliminary design and construction document preparation, while using both computer and drafting skills. Reece also manages projects, coordinates with other disciplines, master planning and detailed construction documents and performs contract administration activities, and manages the company’s computer systems and inter-office network.
Reece became the Secretary of Breedlove Land Planning, Inc. in April 1999.
